Commemorative in circulation. It commemorates the 50 years of Banco Central del Uruguay.
The coat of arms of Uruguay depicting four equal sections - a scale representing justice; Cerro de Montevideo (Montevideo hill) representing strength; horse, symbolizing freedom and the ox, symbol of abundance. The oval is crowned by the "Sun of May". Transparent window in the shape of a map of Uruguay on the left. Anniversary logo on the right.
In the center is an image of the mural “Construcción portuaria” by Walter Deliotti (2.10.1925 -), Uruguayan painter. This mural follows the constructivist school created by Joaquîn Torres García.
