Braulio Carrillo Colina, the 20   March   1800 in Cartago , assassinated on the 15th   may   1845 in El Salvador , was President of Costa Rica from 1838 to 1842.

Guanacaste or elephant tree, the national tree. It is known for its large proportions, expansive, often spherical crown, and curiously shaped seed pods. White-tailed deer or Venado Cola Blanca, a national animal. Costa Rica Pitahaya, a species of cactus whose fruit is commonly referred to as dragon fruit.
